Winter Old Fashioned Cocktail

Winter Old Fashioned Cocktail

Do you enjoy a classic old fashioned? Well here is a winter version! The addition of the rosemary and maple brown sugar simple syrup, adds a cozy vibe to the classic. A smooth, velvety taste to each sip, the rosemary adds that earthy tone to the classic cocktail.

This is enjoyed by itself, but preferably with friends or family nearby a fireplace! Or after a hearty dinner, which is how we drank it the other evening, was a perfect nightcap.

Want to also note that we used dark brown sugar instead of regular white sugar because it has molasses. The molasses end up making the simple syrup thicker and silkier, which pairs nicely with the bourbon. We used Maker’s Mark Bourbon for this recipe, our personal preference.

Hope you enjoy this little twist on the classic old fashioned cocktail! If you do make it, please remember to tag me on Instagram! Curtis and I both love seeing people make the cocktails we share.
