Weekend Recap
Hi everyone,
How was your weekend? Ours was relaxing and fun, starting with Friday. We went to Oakridge mall to run some errands and ending up buying more than a few Christmas ornaments from Crate and Barrel. This means I need to get a bigger tree for our place, Target here I come!
Afterwards, we drove down Main street and decided to try out the new Meet on Main restaurant. It’s vegetarian heavy, with some meat options like burgers etc. The decor was cool and service was pleasant. I would return and order one of their rice bowls.
Saturday started off running errands, then we caught up with some shows on the PVR. Later in the afternoon, we picked up some coffee to go from Tartine Bakery and headed to Stanley Park where we walked the seawall around sunset.
That night Netflix called to us, and we watched The Source Family documentary. It was about a cult in the early 70s ran by Jim Baker also known as Father Yod. This documentary was really interesting, it was a collection from all the footage taken by the cult historian and interviews from previous members. I highly recommend it, add it to your Netflix list.
Sunday I caught a movie with a friend, we saw Nightcrawler, really intense. Later we went to my mom’s for meatloaf! Good way to end the weekend.
