Hi everyone,
I want to start off today’s post by reminding everyone to remember our soldiers and to thank them for all that they have done. Let’s never forget it.
This weekend was pretty low-key for us, I had a final on Sunday afternoon and spent majority of it studying. I did have a quick break of lunch (West) and a makeup event at Shoppers Drug Mart with my mom and sister. Alanna and I signed the three of us up for their Beauty Gala benefiting the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation. The gala was hosted by Shoppers Drug Mart’s Beauty Boutique and Aliza; my beauty expert was amazing and let’s just say I spent some money! Thanks Aliza!
After my exam Sunday, Curtis and I grabbed dessert from Thierry, which was next door to my exam and later went to my Nonna’s for dinner.
Monday, I had the day off work and went to visit my Nana with my sister and mom for lunch. Later that afternoon, I did a little shopping for new bedroom table lamps (Homesense!) and bought myself a few pretty rings from Blue Ruby.
I cooked dinner; which was a delicious pasta of chanterelles, kale, swiss chard and chorizo. Later, we went for a walk and decided to go to the Naam for dessert. Their double fudge cake is yummy!
Today, Curtis and I watched the news special on the Remembrance Day event downtown. Afterwards, we caught a bus and went for brunch in Gastown at the Flying Pig which is always a good choice for us. The rest of the day was spent walking around the city, shopping, coffees and more walking. It was such a beautiful, dry fall day in Vancouver and we didn’t want to waste it inside.
I hope everyone else had a great weekend! xo
