What a weekend! Where did the time go? Here’s a quick weekend recap in photos.
Friday night I went shopping and went home with some amazing clothes! Then Saturday I had my hair done, took Piper to the beach, had a nap (or two) and attended the Imagine 2016 event as a food judge. That was a lot of fun and met some great new blogging friends! Curtis and I ate way too much that night that Sunday morning I didn’t want breakfast. I think we had lunch at 4pm that day. We started and finished House of Cards Season 4 (OMG) and I recorded Downton Abbey’s series finale and will watch that tonight. No spoilers please!
I also made a cocktail recipe for the blog, it was sooo good! This week I have to organize my closet and make room for my new pieces. Other than that, I’m going to an art gallery event, a longtable dinner hosted by the restaurant and regular life.
How was your weekend? I want to hear what you were up to!
Don’t forget to follow me on Snapchat (alifewellconsum) and Instagram!
Sunday night dinner by Curtis! Stuffed peppers with ground turkey, brown rice, beans, corn, cilantro, bread crumbs. It was delish!
Cocktail prep! Yes that is cilantro!
Carpet at the HardRock Casino in Vancouver.
We got Piper some timbits! Learned we needed to break them up otherwise he’d tried to swallow them whole π
Brisket sandwich! This was delicious!
Winner of the savoury dish! Can you tell she was excited π
New blogging friends! Dee from Gastrofork and Diana from Foodology. Not in our picture is Emily from Well Fed Flat Broke and Alicia from Bakeholic, also two new friends!
Winning savoury dish! Yukon Gold Potato and Kale pattie with corned beef in a dijon mayonnaise cucumber slaw! Seriously good!
Me at the hair salon (Hype Hair Studio!), the before picture haha.
What a fantastic weekend!!! Being a food judge sounds amazing, but I’m super enthusiastic and encouraging about people’s efforts, so I’d probably have a hard time judging something I know they worked hard on. I don’t believe in everyone’s a winner until I’m a judge, then I’m like Oprah, “You get a prize, and you get a prize, and you get a prize…”
Your dog is seriously adorable. I don’t have the lifestyle for a dog (and my cats would go nuts if we got one), but I like to fantasize about what it would be like to have a dog.
If you want to, I host a link-up of weekend snapshots and would love it if you linked up your post – http://www.reinventingjess.com/2016/03/weekend-snapshots-10.html
thanks jessica! we ended up judging based on creativity and composition and of course taste. but didn’t critique like iron chef haha
