HELLO! Wow what a crazy last month! I’m sorry I haven’t updated the blog but between moving, and other personal things, I was just treading along. We sold our home and it was contingent on us moving out in TWO weeks! Yes, two weeks to pack up our apartment and move out. That was quite a feat and I’m so glad my mom and nana came over to help pack almost every day!
So least to say we didn’t find a place and have moved into my parents. Which worked out so well because they also are away for most of October and we were planning on dogsitting Oscar anyways. Thankfully they have this guest suite in their apartment building and we stay there most of the time and come up for meals haha. It’s a pretty great situation π
But Curtis and I are now starting to house hunt again, we’ll see what is out there at the moment, but we are leaning towards renting for a few months and then searching again. In our price range and needs, it’s a narrow search. I also don’t want to pay so much money and come across things like no in-suite laundry (which not a big deal if I was renting) but if I’m purchasing a home (Vancouver isn’t cheap) then laundry should be in my apartment. Also closets, you’d be surprised about the lack of storage… but I digress.
We are really excited to start in a new home, new chapter, new neighbourhood maybe we will see, open to neighbourhoods just want to stay in Vancouver. The saddest bit about leaving our first home, was leaving the memories of Piper in it. I still miss that little man. (our dog for those new here haha)
I’ll be keeping you posted on here, planning on uploading a video showing us prepping our home to show, and then an update video and then probably a moving to our new place on Youtube! It’s been such a big year, but next year will be the biggest one!
Don’t forget to follow along on Instagram, I post more in real time on there on stories.
Congrats on your moving feat! Wishing you the best in your next adventure while house hunting and then moving your belongings once more! I definitely agree about if you’re buying, that you HAVE to have laundry in your new place! Going to the laundromat gets.so.old. Haha! anyways, good luck!!
Thanks Mia! Hoping to be settled by November, fingers crossed!
