Last Thursday I was invited to the Vancouver Christmas Market media night by Zomato. It was a perfect night to walk around the market. Mainly because it was dry and not too cold out.
The Christmas Market is a fun and family friendly venue to enjoy the holidays. There is a carousel, live music, a variety of food stalls, artisans, a Christmas ornament store, beer and wine and much more. The market also has crafting stations around where kids and adults can make their own Christmas decor.
Curtis and I grabbed a few bites to eat, drank traditional mulled wine (GlΓΌhwein) and browsed the retail vendors. They have everything from authentic wood carvings and toys, knitted goods, nutcrackers, pottery and other unique gifts like soap and olive wood bowls.
I can only imagine how magical the real German Christmas markets must feel like. If it snows this season, it will be a romantic holiday feel to the Vancouver Christmas Market. You know that feeling. The smell of snow in the air, all bundled up, drinking hot cocoa and imagining you are in a holiday movie. Or is that last bit just me?
Also check out my favourite 25 events and activities for Christmas in Vancouver! So many fun ways to celebrate the holiday season in this city. All we are missing is the snow!
Here are more details and they also have season passes in case you want to return! I know of some people who just keep visiting for the food and wine. Ahem, those people may or may not be Curtis and I….
