Participating in The Kitchn Cure

I follow the website The Kitchn daily and besides the great posts that include recipes, drinks, kitchen renovations, appliance reviews among many, they also annually hold The Kitchn Cure. This transpires over a span of a month, and every day is a new task to complete in your kitchen. One day is cleaning our your fridge, another is purging your cupboards of pantry items or dishes.

I signed us up this year, and so far have been completing a task a day (except for the oven clean, I’m saving that for a rainy day). Living in a one-bedroom apartment, our space is minimal and therefore only has so space to clean. I also frequently keep the space tidy, and keep our fridge spotless. The first few tasks were making a list of what I wanted to accomplish, to cleaning the fridge and freezer which both were easy. The last few, such as cleaning the oven (still to do), cleaning the hood fan and purging our cupboards required a little more effort. But boy, do I feel good completing those and rejuvenating my cupboards. The kitchen looks sparkling, and I will definitely sign up to participate next year.

I should include that this can be done at any time of the year. The tasks are available online and if you want to participate but not in the summer, the fall or winter are options.
