OK, ok, we didn’t get snow in the city, but we decided to take Rowan up to Cypress Mountain on a weekday to see snow… in a parking lot. Since we weren’t actually skiing, you can’t access the large parking lot, but she has no clue yet. We just plopped her in this little pathway and she had fun crawling and trying to eat it. Too funny to watch.
I hope it does snow in the city at least once, you know to experience that fresh snow, fluffy snowflakes hitting your face and that smell of snow, you know what I’m talking about. When it’s about to snow, the air changes, it smells like snow coming… right? Or is that just me?
We bundled her up, drove 20 minutes (another reason to love Vancouver), and voila we were in the snow! Then afterward, we drove back down and walked along the water during an epic sunset. Just one of those great days spent in Vancouver. She was exhausted by the time we got home, I think mentally tuckered out from seeing this new thing, and then a long walk in the fresh air. Plus, a baby in a snowsuit is kinda a must-do. They just look like little Michelin men, cute, fluffy(?), hilarious when they stuff snow to their mouths, and when her little nose got cold and red, just melted my heart.
With us moving into the city, I hope to do more exploring, long walks, days at the beach, and take the seabus to Lower Lonsdale for sunset hour.
Have you gone skiing or live where it’s snowing yet? My brother is living in NYC and they just had a blizzard. Part of me was jealous, part was also glad we didn’t get that much haha.
