A couple of weeks ago, Curtis and I paid this new restaurant in Point Grey a visit. Miss Me Yet? is located in the old Vinoteca Cafe and Trattoria location on West Broadway. It’s nicely decorated with fun knick-knacks and modern furniture. The staff is friendly and attentive. The chef and owner came around to inquire about our meal and if we needed anything. He did this with every table and greeted everyone that came in.
We ordered a couple of cocktails to start off with every cocktail being a double. These were delicious and very thought out. I would go as far to say some of the best I’ve had. Curtis ordered the Saison Sour (Makers Bourbon, Saison beer, raspberry, lemon, lime and simple syrup) and I had the Respect the Elder (Hendricks Gin, St. Germain, cucumber juice and soda).
Not being overly hungry we decided to share a couple of plates. We ordered the charcuterie plate and the mediterranean salad.
Our mediterranean salad was composed of cucumber, red & green peppers, roasted corn, black bean, black olives, oregano, red onion, feta, olive oils, salt & pepper, lemon juice. It was bright and all the flavours went together perfectly. The feta used was a soft, creamy version.
The charcuterie plate was more than generous. It had mixed olives, hummus, antipasto, salami, mortadella, cheddar, havarti, grapes, apples, dates, pickled pepper, liver patte, prosciutto, pickles, toasted baquette, crackers, tomatoes, camembert, goat cheese & grilled chorizo sausage. The chorizo was outstanding and we fought over that.
The ladies restroom decor is a lot of fun, with strong women in a wallpaper and fierce barbies on the rail.
Suffice to say, we were full by the time the cheque came around. Miss Met Yet? is a welcome addition to the neighbourhood and Curtis and I plan to return shortly. They have brunch on the weekends and I can only imagine how good that is.
