Well before I share a new in depth Palm Springs guide, I wanted to share a quick one with you. Just a few snapshots (ok maybe more than just a few!) of our trip in August. New places to eat, a quick jaunt to Joshua Tree for lunch, the latest hotel to open and more.
We tried out Sparrow’s Lodge The Barn Kitchen for lunch one afternoon. It was a scorcher outside, so the air conditioning inside was a nice relief. The food was fresh and delicious, I had a fantastic pina colada. We actually ended up talking to a very eccentric man for about an hour and a half while eating. Interesting, very interesting life he had haha.
Another day, we were itching for a drive, so we ended up at Joshua Tree and enjoyed a delicious lunch at the Crossroads CafΓ©. I had an artichoke sandwich, Curtis happily ate a stack of pancakes. I have to say, they have the friendliest staff! We then walked across the street and grabbed two iced lattes from Joshua Tree Coffee Co.
They have everything in the small town now. A yoga studio, pizza place, thrift shops, great places to eat, local artisans, a farmer’s market and a few other places.
Then the other must do’s while in Palm Springs, definitely a stop at In & Out! We checked out 29 palms oasis, drove around oogling mid-century homes (The Pink Door!), took pictures at the windmills and just noticed the small things.
And we ate a lot of good food! Never a shortage of places to grab a meal in this city. More and more keep popping up and I look forward to trying them out on my next visit. We enjoyed ice cream at Arrive’s Ice Cream Shoppe, lunch at Chi Chi’s at the Avalon, tiki drinks at the Tonga Hut and dinner at Arrive’s restaurant.
Stay tuned for an updated Palm Springs guide. I’ll be adding new places and things to see and do to them shortly! Last week, I posted about our stay at the Ace Hotel, so much fun!
Your photos are always so well done!! and YUM, I’m drooling over all the food pictures! Thanks for sharing!

I think I have massive FOMO whenever I see images of Palm Spring because it just looks so picture perfect!!! I am definitely adding it to my list of places when I come back to the states next year!

With Palm Springs being so close, it’s crazy that I’ve only ever been once or twice… The hubby wants to go check out the Ace Hotel though! LOVE all the pictures!
