Now being in my third trimester with only a few weeks to go, I’ve looked at what are the pregnancy essentials that I can’t live without now.
Being my first pregnancy, I had no idea what to expect or what I really needed, so it’s been a gather as I go experience. I actually didn’t get a book until my second trimester LOL. I didn’t go and get everything under the sun as some articles or blog posts out there say to do, but just grabbed what I felt I needed at the time. No sense in spending more than I needed to and everyone’s pregnancy is different.
I’m sharing what I felt were the pregnancy essentials that helped me through my pregnancy, I hope it helps someone out there. I do want to say I did buy a pregnancy pillow and that was an excellent purchase! I just found it awkward to take a photo of haha. It helped me sleep on my side and was uber comfy.
I think everyone has this book in their collection, it’s been in publication for decades and gets updated every couple of years. I found it helpful in some aspects and liked seeing what was going on every week.
Curtis heard about this book after listening to the author on a podcast. She goes over stats and compares those with old facts. It was comforting knowing the stats on eating tuna or drinking caffeine. She evaluated the data behind the “accepted rules” of pregnancy and discovered that most are often misguided and some are just flat-out wrong
I’ve been using this for years and didn’t stop while pregnant. A couple of sprays on the pillow and it helps me relax and fall asleep. Because let me tell you, I was an insomniac that whole second trimester! It’s natural, has an aromatherapeutic super blend of lavender, chamomile, and vetiver which makes it a clean formula.
I love this blend because it has calming lavender and soothing chamomile with a little bit of grapefruit. I’m a big fan of anything Saje puts out like obsessed with their Peppermint Halo (which I can’t use during pregnancy), but this was a great alternative.
I’m a baby and can’t swallow large pills, so I opted for a chewable tablet instead. I like these because they included a lot of the vitamins you need in a prenatal, the price point is great and you can find it in so many places. It’s also really gentle on my stomach and the cranberry apple flavour isn’t bad.
I had a pair of these before pregnancy and bought another pair during, they feel like you have no pants on, they are that comfortable! I literally live in them! I haven’t had to go up a size or anything, they stretch that much and are comfortable on the bump. Available in crop, full length and tons of colours.
Been using this since the 2nd month, and haven’t had any stretch marks on my bump! I have however got some on my breasts, but that was before I was using it. That first 1-2 months, they grew so large, so fast that I didn’t expect stretch marks. But since using it, they have diminished in appearance. It has Pure Cocoa Butter and Shea Butter, Natural Oils, Collagen, Elastin, and Lutein to help keep your skin soft and that allows it to stretch easier.
What did you swear by for your pregnancy? Anything you would definitely use again for your next? Check out my 33-week update here.
Pregnancy pillows are a lifesaver! I’m 19 weeks and got mine a month ago. It’s helped me sleep well every single night.
they are the best! the hubs is jealous of it haha
