During my 24th week, we went on our Palm Springs babymoon! Went back to the city we were married in, stayed at the hotel we married at and just enjoyed a week of relaxing in the sun.
We’re always amazed at how a handful of days away from home and work can feel so inspiring and refreshing. The location couldn’t be beaten; the Avalon Hotel Palm Springs is one block off of the main drag, with that gorgeous mountain backdrop behind it. The quiet, adult only pool was our best friend in the afternoons (along with a cold beer or two for Curtis and a refreshing mocktail for me!), and every evening, they roared up a couple of fire pits for late-night conversations. It’s the place where we were married in 2017, you can see it all here.
Palm Springs is fairly small, you don’t even need to rent a car. You can walk, bike, and hop on the free bus. The hotel also offers bicycles to check out the downtown area (this seems to be a common theme for many of the hotels in the area). Palm Springs also has the Buzz, a free bus-slash-trolley that makes loops around the city, stopping along with the most popular hotels and attractions.
I highly recommend taking a babymoon, whether it’s a week or a weekend, get that time away to sip mocktails, and relax before upcoming midnight feedings and diaper changes.

You look beautiful in that dress! Glowing!
This looks like a lovely and much needed relaxing time before baby comes!
