I bought a Tangle Teezer brush a few months ago for travel. I loved the design and easiness of detangling my hair. So when I found out they had more than one brush, I jumped at a chance to try them all out. Curtis wasn’t in love with 5 more hair brushes in our bathroom though, but I promised to only pick my favourite which ended up being harder than I thought. Sooooo you probably can guess we still have all five.
I have fine hair, it’s not luxurious or thick, but fine with natural waves. I wouldn’t say it’s so hard to manage, but I do have to comb it after every shower or swim in the pool. The Tangle Teezer brushes are easy to use and I feel don’t clutter my cabinet. More room for makeup and skin care products, yay! (If you want to know more about the Matrix hair products, click here)
My hair gets tangled easily if not conditioned. However all these hair brushes works magic on detangling knotted hair. The hair is detangled smoothly and its also painless! They are also easy to hold and totally feels like I’m giving myself a head massage when I use it. BONUS!
I’m also low maintenance when it comes to styling my hair and usually just brush and go in the mornings. So I don’t really use the other styling brushes with natural bristles that are under my sink. I save those for events or parties. But now I use these Tangle Teezer brushes especially the Blow-Styling Smoothing Tool because it helps dry my hair faster. This girl can’t afford that new Dyson hair dryer!
The Ultimate is a finishing tool that is perfect for achieving body and perfecting a beautiful pony. It’s the third step in Tangle Teezer’s Three Step Process:
Step 1: Detangle with your Original or Compact Tangle Teezer to smooth out knots and tangles
Step 2: Blow Out Hair with Tangle Teezer’s Blow Styling Brush to get big bouncy locks
Step 3: Finish your look with The Ultimate, which is perfect for achieving body and perfecting the perfect pony.
Again, I’m not into spending too much time on my hair, but they are easy to use and would be great for people who do take the time to do so. I did try the steps and noticed a difference.
The Original is the ultimate detangling hairbrush, this is the one I initially bought. It detangles with minimum fuss, breakage and damage, leaving hair smooth, soft and shiny. Available in a rainbow of colours, I have pink and the pink/blue combo. I like how small it is for traveling and storage in your bathroom. More room for lipsticks! I usually have fussy second day hair so this brush combined with my fav dry shampoo (Klorane) is a good pairing.
It detangles and delivers the perfect finishing touch. Using an innovative two-tiered teeth system technology, you can smooth, shine and define. I received a gold one which is up my alley, but there are so many colours and print to choose from. Hello Kitty or Star Wars anyone? (Not my thing, but great for maybe kids?)
It takes the hair from wet to dry in one simple step, delivering a quick, smooth and gentle blow-dry. With ground-breaking teeth technology, the Blow-Styling Smoothing Tool has fixed base teeth with built in tension and slight flexibility at the tips.
Delivering flow tension, the teeth allows the hair to snake through for a quick, smooth and gentle blow-dry without pulling or stretch-drying. I found this to be true and my hair was smooth and dried faster than usual. Less time I spend blow-drying, I’m a happier person. I hate wasting my time in the bathroom with my hair.
Only dislike is the price is a little more expensive than a drugstore brush.
My hair can use some good detangling tools! These look promising!
I can not even touch my hair with out putting conditioner in my hair. And using one of these brushes. It makes life so much easier for me. My hair is a lot to manage on its own
Oh geez!
I can not even touch my hair with out putting conditioner in my hair. And using one of these brushes. It makes life so much easier for me.
These look so cool! I’m interested in them solely for the fact that it would fit in my purse. HAHA!
haha! me too!
I’ve been using tangle teezers for about 5 or 6 years now and I still prefer them over regular hair brushes as my hair gets super knotty. The kids have their cute children’s ones too 🙂
