This is the first of a new series called My Beauty on the blog. I love to find out what others are using for makeup and skin products, their tips and tricks, how they feel about beauty etc. So I thought I’d start a series where we all find out tidbits and routines of fellow bloggers and women. Sure, we all read the online magazines or flip through Elle or Allure, but I also want to know what that blogger’s favourite lipstick is or how does she have such great hair? I aim to find out what someone really thinks of a products or does she wear makeup everyday?
If there are any burning questions you would like asked in this series, feel free to drop them in the comments section below!
The series starts with Emily Crawford, a beauty blogger from Tasmania, Australia. She was also just married, congrats Emily! Check out her blog Why Hello Beauty for tips, tricks and tutorials on hair and makeup.
With a natural flair for beauty and lifestyle blogging, Emily has combined two of her creative passions and is quickly making a name for herself within the blogging world. Through the use of social media, Emily continues to attract hundreds of followers with a keen eye for βbeautyβ, believing that βa refreshing, modern spin on makeup and all things cosmeticsβ, never holds a dull moment.
What inspired me to create Why Hello Beauty?
I have always been an obsessive buyer of makeup and hair products and creating WHB was a way to indulge in this passion βbecause it was for the blog!β.
How long have I been blogging? Is it aΒ full time job?
Why Hello BeautyΒ quickly became something that I could see a future in and now I believe one day this WILL be my full time job. At the moment, I work beauty blogging (including brainstorming post ideas,Β taking photographs, editing posts, sourcing images etc)Β into my life around my day job in Administration and my family of humans and fur!
What is your daily skincare routine?
AM β I cleanse, tone and apply a mix of Acia Seed Oil and SPF 50+.
PM β I double cleanse, tone, maybe apply a scrub or mask and apply a night cream mixed with Acia Seed Oil.
Do you wear makeup every day?
Yes, except for Sundays. Theyβre my lazy days π
Do you have any other non-beauty rituals that help you feel great?
I try to read much more than I used for the βmeβ time and I have also started colouring in, which is heaps fun!
Do you have a game-changing product?
I am really lovinβ Benefitβs Roller Lash and think it could be my HG mascara. Also, Musq Cosmetics have a beyond amazing cleanser β¦.
Do you have any beauty splurges?
Foundation. I always like to spurge here as this is the base for everything else and with a great base, youβre halfway there.
Whatβs your makeup routine?
Once my moisturizer is dry, I apply Napoleon Perdisβ Auto Pilot primer and my Mehron foundation. I then go in with It Cosmetics blush, Benefitβs bronzer and eyeshadow and finish with Benefitβs Roller Lash mascara, always using an eyelash curler. I then fill in my brows with a cheapie pencil and slick on some brow gel from Brow Architect! A dust of Beccaβs highlighter in Moonstone and Iβm done!
For an evening event, I apply darker eyeshadow and maybe a touch of eyeliner, extra highlighter and a deep bold berry lip!
Are there any stories of regrettable beauty moments or experiments-gone-wrong?
I once thought I would shave in between my eyebrows at around the age of 10, and as I swiped up, I nicked the centre of my right brow! I had to use a texta to fill the gap in and to this day, my eyebrow has never grown back properly!
What items are you always on the lookout for?
Anything that has pretty and girl packaging, this always pull me in!

Do you have any showering rituals?
I shower twice daily, and canβt not wash my hair each AM!
Are there any foods or drinks that help you look and feel your best?
LOTS of water, a probiotic and heaps of vegetables always help me feel better, and in turn look happy
How do you change things up for special occasions?
I may curl my hair, as opposed to the usual straighten or wear my hair up in a fun pony, depending on the outfit. I do tend to stick to my tried and true stylesβ¦.
Do you have a signature scent?
Yes, Narciso eau de parfum!
What are your favorite lipstick colors?
Either a bold berry or nude, thereβs no in between!
How do you style and care for your hair?
I do wash my hair every day but I apply an oil daily and try to let my hair air dry on the way to work. I donβt like to blow out my hair too often so thatβs my excuse haha!
Do you do any DIY treatments?
I donβt seem to no, other than the occasional brown sugar + oil lip scrub.
Do you have any weird little tricks that you swear by?Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β
Mixing a facial scrub with a cleanser will give a much gentler scrub and is especially great for sensitive skin!

Less is More & Start with Fantastic Skincare.
