Who can believe we are half way into November? I certainly can’t! I’ve made some changes to my skin care lately with my latest beauty buys. I started using a silicone facial brush to wash my face. Yes, it sounds weird, but my face feels so clean afterwards. I’ve also been using a facial cleanser I bought from Old Navy, a skin energizer from Clarins and a brightening moisturizer by L’Oreal.
I’m still using the other products in my previous Monthly Beauty Buys, but who doesn’t enjoy finding new products and changing it up. Especially going into the colder months I like to step up my game. I don’t get that natural glow from the sun but instead feel dry and pale. Or let’s be honest, I’m pale all year round.
Ok, so here are my latest beauty buys, has anyone else tried any? Let me know what you think!
My $14 version of the Luna by Foreo from Sephora. I can’t afford the other version and pay the $140 price tag. So I bought this version from HomeSense (aka TJ Maxx in USA). As I said before, it really cleanses my face. It uses both T-sonic pulsations for deep and gentle cleansing, and lower-frequency pulsations to reduce the signs of aging.
It’s supposed to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and leaves the skin looking and feeling firmer and more elastic. It removes dead skin cells and unclogs pores of dirt, oil, and makeup residue. .I feel the products I use are penetrating into my skin better after using it. The back can be used as a facial massage and has multiple levels of speed.
I’ve been using the facial cleanser by Formula 10.0.6, I picked up at Old Navy for a few months now and I just LOVE it. I also love the price tag and I also picked up a couple of face masks from the same line. The masks are Get Your Glow On and Three Times Sublime.
I have been seeing Clarins boosters for awhile now and decided to try one out. After consideration, I chose the Energy Booster enriched with ginseng. I mix it in with my daily moisturizer with SPF and it adds a nice glow. Especially when I’m having those insomnia issues and not getting sleep for days.
You only need a couple of drops and you are set, so it last a good amount of time.
Lastly, my other drug store find was L’Oreal Paris Bright Reveal Moisturizer. It’s really hydrating and easy on your wallet. It’s essentially a dual serum + moisturizer with 4% Glycolic, Vitamin Cg, and Pro-Retinol for brightening and smoothing. I use it at night after apply my regular serum and sometimes add my rose hip oil on top and I wake up with hydrated skin. You can’t beat the price tag and I ended up buying the brightening peel pads too that day.
You can shop the post below, I couldn’t find my inexpensive vibration cleanser online, but added a couple other options that are cheaper than the Luna. Also check out my 3 tips on getting your skin to glow.

Yes! I love Christmas movies! Best part of the month.
I have the blue Luna by FOREO and I love it. I use it twice a day.
Oh good to know!
I’m going to try those 2 masks you mentioned. I’m always looking for great masks! The silicone scrubber is interesting. I spent the money on Clarisonic, but I’ve definitely never regretted my purchase! It works wonders on my skin.

Yay! They are at good price points so no loss if they don’t react well with your skin. I have a Clarisonic too, but broke out really bad after using it for a bit.
OMG- I’m heading to Sephora and my drugstore tomorrow. I’ve been looking for an affordable facial brush that works for a while. I”ve also wondered about the Loreal product and wanted a recommendation before I tried.
Olay makes a nice brush too!
Wow, a 140 dollar facial brush? Is it made from gold? lol haha. Great that you found a cheaper one!
Haha right?!
