Earlier this month I was lucky enough to be invited to Whistle with London Drugs for their annual beauty event! They took us to the Fairmont Chateau Whistler for a night, where we met with 30 brands they carry in-store to see the latest launches and learn more about each brand.
It turned out to be the perfect fall weather, no rain haha, and we spent an evening testing and trying out new beauty launches! OK, let’s get into a quick photo recap of the trip, I will give more in-depth looks into products as I test them out and share my favs later on. I just wanted to share a summary and photos of products just launching, because I had a few DMs on Instagram when I posted my IG stories.
I was so excited to be invited up with London Drugs, this is where I shop for a lot of things, from computers, camera equipment, household bits and picking up some fav beauty products in their beauty section! It’s actually where my mom used to take us to pick up her Lancome products when we were kids. Besides the NYX Cosmetics store, they have a large selection of their products, more than other drugstores!
Afterwards, Coty Inc., the company that owns brands such as Covergirl, Sally Hansen and Rimmel, hosted us for dinner, where we met Veronica Chu, Covergirl’s Makeup Artist and caught up with some fav bloggers.
The next morning, we were up bright and early and had a few sessions with a handful of brands. First up was with ConAir, who are launching two new products. First one is a cordless auto curler! I quickly tried it out at breakfast, but they are sending one in the mail, so I can give you a better review when it arrives. So far, it’s really great for travel or on-the-go, and really compact!
Next up, Avene, where we played around with the product, learned about their sustainability initiatives and the Pierre Fabre Foundation. There was a lot about this brand I wasn’t aware of, and I left more impressed than I was going in. I already use their Thermal Spring Water and body lotions, but the aqua-gel is a really nice texture.
After a quick break, we went into a session with Lise Watier, who had a makeup demo with their makeup artist, David Vincent. Who is hilarious by the way! Their holiday sets are gorgeous, the packaging is unreal. What I love most about this Canadian brand, is that they are always putting out consistent, quality makeup, skincare and now fragrance!
Lastly, we had a workshop with Elizabeth Arden, where we went through a skincare routine that included using their new Vitamin C capsules. My hands looked 10 years younger after that demo, can’t wait to start using these at home on my face and neck.
And just like that, we returned back to Vancouver! They kindly sent us home with everything we saw on the trip to test out. I’m slowly going through that haul, trying a product here and there, I don’t want to give any reviews until I’ve tried a few things out consistently for a bit. Stay tuned for reviews trickling in!
Big thank you to London Drugs for the invite and hospitality! I had a great time!
