Well this summer just flew on by! I cannot believe it’s September and that the weather here in Vancouver has just gotten crisp virtually overnight. We did pack in a lot of things this summer and enjoyed the nice weather. Check out the photos below to see my life lately!
We took a trip to Palm Springs and San Diego (Recaps and Guides + a video coming soon!), went to a Japanese cooking class at Nourish Kitchen & Café, ate around the city (like Raisu on 4th). We also frequently hung out at the beach(es), went to local lakes, took drives to Whistler and the local mountains, day trips to Bowen Island and Westham Island and cleaned out my closet (kinda, ever lasting work in progress).
I also attended a ton of events such as the fun Ford Canada Art night. This was especially fun, amazing dinner, graffiti class and a mural scavenger hunt! I also was able to taste the popular Cucumelons! Cute little cucumbers that look like mini watermelons. Really delicious tiny bites.
Piper also had a great summer, a ton of car rides, ferry rides, beach days, ice cream (small nibbles!), laying in the sun on the patio, a week at his great grandma’s and visiting babies.
Now I’m in wedding mode, booked appointments for bridal shops, planning with my designer and event planners and tearing out ideas from the wedding magazines. By the way, these are full of about 40% garbage. What a waste and still missing key content that I’m going to research for you guys (and myself!). I feel personally too many pages full of wedding dresses (too many ugly ones too). I want advice, and real articles by brides who have tips.
What did you get up to this summer? What was a highlight for you? Any memorable trips or meals?
Have a great week! Don’t forget to subscribe to my email list. I will be rolling out new newsletters and freebies in the next month. Plus, if you’re like me and lazy, you just get all the new posts to your inbox!
I must say that I really like how you did summer. It looked like incredible amounts of fun. I spent a bunch of it traveling and loved it!
I’d love to get to Palm Springs! Those houses all look so cute! I love that style of desert architecture.
Good luck with the wedding planning!!

Sounds like a great summer! Mine was pretty quiet…which is what I wanted this year.
