VanDusen Gardens is all dolled up for the holidays. Come out with the whole family to enjoy carousel rides and colourful lights, or bring that special somebody to pose with under the mistletoe.
Vancouver Christmas Market is the perfect place to celebrate the season, and you can take perfect pics all around, including the tall walk-in Christmas trees, the Christmas carousel, the adorable shops, and all of the twinkling lights, and everything in between.
The glowing light dome is dazzling and of course free! We go every year, I plan on bringing Rowan back this year to take photos!
If you don’t feel like lacing up your skates, you can still capture some stunning photos around the ice at Robson Square, including the 76-foot tall Christmas tree in the square for the holidays.

They always have pretty garland-lined windows and doors outside, and at night, it’s illuminated making the perfect evening backdrop for photos.
Lace-up your skates and hit the ice at Robson Square this winter, showing off your moves and getting the right angles for your photos at the festively decorated ice rink in the heart of downtown Vancouver.
The annual Canyon Lights event has positively transformed the Capilano Suspension Bridge into a winter wonderland for another year of festive cheer. Thousands of twinkling lights decorate the park, which includes the suspension bridge, Treetops Adventure, Cliffwalk, the rainforest, and canyon. While the bridge is a breathtaking place to snap a photo, there are myriad other spots to snap the perfect festive picture.
The Peak of Christmas returns to Grouse Mountain with its annual display of festive enchantment and fun activities. There are breathtaking light installations, including a majestic light tunnel and illuminated reindeer. There’s no shortage of places to snap the perfect photo under a veil of twinkling lights or on the ice rink.
The Bright Nights Christmas Train is in Stanley Park for another year of festive choo-choo-cheer! The dazzling locomotive and the Stanley Park Train Plaza will sparkle with over 3 million twinkling lights, as well as breathtaking displays and live performers.
Richmond’s McArthur Glen Design Outlets are decked out for the holidays. Wander the outdoor paths between stores to discover all kinds of festive decorations including nutcrackers, a giant walk-through ornament, a JOY sign, and a 52-foot-tall Christmas tree.
