Nut milk is actually really easy to make. I used to buy my almond milk at the store but after trying out this recipe on the weekend, that will stop. My exception will be regular milk for cappuccinos and coconut milk because I don’t see myself making that from scratch. Curtis and I have basically cut out regular milk from our diet except for coffees and baking. I feel my skin has cleared up and I don’t feel as bloated as before. Nut milk that is unsweetened has no to little sugar in it and it’s so much better in cereal. I imagine you can add sweeteners to the milk like vanilla if you want to, I enjoy it as is.
Essentially you can make nut milk in under 40 minutes and it tastes so much better than it’s counterpart. I use it in my smoothies, in cereal, in my tea or coffee or just drink it by itself. All you need are whole, raw nuts and water and you are set. Try out my recipe below and let me know what you think!
Leslie, I’ve been meaning to try making this!!:)… But I thought you had to pre-soak the almonds over night?… and because I keep forgetting to do that step, I haven’t yet;). Is it not necessary to do that step?
nope, this recipe you don’t have to pre-soak them. i didn’t taste a difference between soaking and a short-soak.

Leslie, your pictures look beautiful! I think I will get some nuts this weekend to try my hand at making nut milks. I also LOVE your pink lipstick in your picture 🙂
Thanks Mandy! It’s really easy otherwise I wouldn’t bother haha.
