I’ve been meaning to do a Glossier collection post for some time now, but every time I go to do it, I either get sucked into doing another post or a new product is released that I want to try out first. Although I’m far from owning everything they’ve bought out, I definitely have my fair share. So today I thought I’d share with you my favourites and my thoughts on the Glossier brand.
Been on a ban from buying anymore products at the moment, looking at you Lash Slick, due to not having that steady 9-5 income anymore. So this will inevitably be a part 1 of more, I can’t wait to see what else they come out with. Now being said, not everything is a winner from Glossier.
In case you are not familiar with Glossier’s history, the Glossier’s Phase 1 was a set of four skin care products that would set the stage for what the brand would do. Now, approximately two-and-a-half years later, Glossier has grown from a burgeoning line of skin care aspiring to have a place among the big guys in your medicine cabinet, to a full line of skin care and makeup — and one that just keeps growing.

The first two products I bought were the Balm (dotcom) and Boy Brow. Then started buying more here and there, even visiting the Glossier store in NYC. Which by the way, is one of the coolest show rooms I have ever visited. Very Instagram worthy and easy to navigate. Plus a little sitting area for all the boyfriends and husbands haha. I also appreciate how you shop in there, pick your products on a list and hand it at the counter where they package up your order. So easy!
I love the boy brow, it’s actually my favourite product still from Glossier. I’m not a person to draw in my eyebrows everyday and this is so easy to swipe and leave the house. Plus the size is so ideal for travel. You can see my other review here from last year.
A balm is always in my bag, it’s pretty versatile. Besides using it on my lips, I apply it to dry skin on my knuckles or elbow. My two fav flavours are the coconut and birthday cake. Both smell like what they are supposed to. Another pet peeve of mine, fragrant products that don’t live up to the hype.
Moving on, I then purchased the Priming Moisturizer which I LOVE. It goes on so nicely, a little goes a long way and really provides that nice layer under foundation. Great size for travel being in the tube and provides enough moisture for all day. Another positive is that it’s a buildable moisturizer, so you can apply as much as you need on parts of your face.
Glossier Milky Jelly Cleanser is my go to in the shower. Again a little goes a long way, the fragrance isn’t over bearing for myself, and doesn’t leave a film or strip my skin. The pH-balanced, creamy gel formula is made with a blend of five skin conditioners, so your skin is supposed to be soft afterwards.
Another of my faovurite products from Glossier is the Quartz Haloscope, a lovely product that I’ve got quite a lot of use out of. I use it in rotation from my RMS luminizer. Although it adds a glow, it’s in a more natural way. Luckily, you barely make a dent in this product every time you use it, so this isn’t a highlighter you are going to run out any time soon.
The Solution Exfoliating Skin Perfector, a new release of theirs which I’ve been trying out for the last month. It does something to my skin in terms of softness, but my problem with it is that it’s not ‘incredible’. If you already use the Pixi Glow Tonic (another of my favs!) and then there’s probably isn’t much use to owning this one too. If you’re in the market for a new glycolic toner (everyone should have one in their arsenal) or you want to try something new, then it’s definitely worth a shot.
It doesn’t remarkably get rid of zits, but it smoothes the skin almost immediately. Keep it away from your lips though lol.
Cloud Paint is such a fun name for a blush. I have the colour Puff and it matches my skintone quite nicely. It’s a cream-gel blush in four universal shades, served up in cute paintlike tubes. The water-based formula is easy to apply and is sheer and buildable enough that any error — or as a painter would call it, happy accident — can look intentional. And again, a little definitely goes a long way!
I use Super Bounce every morning before i prime and start my makeup and it leaves my skin supple and soft all day, and the bottle lasts a really long time because it’s just a little dropperis the serum designed for dry skin. The hyaluronic acid in it really helps make the skin feel very soft and mosturized.
If your hungover, traveling all day, the serum is designed to replenish what you’ve lost. According to Glossier, hyaluronic acid plumps skin while Vitamin B5 brings back elasticity. Hyaluronic acid is said to hold up to 1000x its weight in water — a great way to plump skin from the inside. Vitamin B5 is found in mushrooms and avocados amd meant to help the skin regenerate new and supple skin layers.
Now please note, this is a mid-range priced serum, I also use the Ordinary’s version which is significantly cheaper and effective.
Super Glow is the serum meant to brighten and energize your complexion— think a youthful glow. Vitamin C is meant to brighten skin by reducing dark spots and creating more light-reflective skin. Magnesium stimulates the metabolism of tired skin cells to help compensate for the damage you did by neglecting to sleep.
While I like the serum, I feel like there are better products on the market that include more vitamin C to really make the skin glow and become radiant. I’m not sure the result is very visible.
I love the Glossier Skin Tint, I use this on the daily if I have nowhere important to be or having a lazy weekend. It feels as if my skin is still breathing au natural. In theory, I like this product. I 100% get the appeal of a product that blurs pores and evens out tone without visibly covering up the skin. I mean, that’s my dream product.
Note, I wouldn’t recommend this to people with dry skin off the bat because it does tend to cling to dry patches.
It blurs pores, because it’s loaded with silicons so no shock there on it’s blurring powers. And it defintely gives off a radiant glow. The downside to it is that it Does. Not. Set. This is my biggest complaint about the product. But I will still use it on the days that I don’t need so much coverage or quick jaunts out.

What Glossier products would you recommend? Should I be adding Lash Slick to my basket?
I want to try all these products especially the exfoliating skin perfector. Nice post I enjoyed reading your blog.
Thank you! Let me know if you do try any of them out.
Very nice layout. I enjoyed reading this and I usually don’t read long blog posts, I usually skim. If you wouldn’t mind, I would actually like to pick your brain at some point. Great job!
