I picked up some goodies from Urban Decay. They recently opened a store in Metrotown in Burnaby, a suburb of Vancouver. I’m not a huge makeup person, I have not a clue on the ultra makeup looks all the beauty vloggers share. But I do love trying new products and wearing makeup in a coverage I’m comfortable in.
Shimmer is something I’m always attracted to, and Urban Decay doesn’t disappoint in that department! I literally could have spent serious cash in there if I had it. Their lip wall is amazing, the sales staff is so nice and will honestly tell you when something doesn’t work with your skin.
Their makeup basics are also great, like their primers and setting sprays. I of course love their eyeshadow primer potion. This one I picked up is limited edition, in a neutral matter, but it still packs the powers itβs famous for: 24-hour, crease-free shadow, more vibrant color and smoother application.
They had their new Moondust brushes in stock. You can stipple on a glitter shadow or other product and it puts it on seamlessly. It’s a dense brush that was designed to be used wet with their Moondust shadows.
I like these shadows because they aren’t chunky glitter, but refined shimmer. It feels like a cream but goes on like a powder to create a smooth, brilliantly reflective look. The pros say to apply it with a wet finger which will intensify the pigment and sparkle to the next level. Great for the day and for an evening out!
This small makeup bag was included with my purchase, you might be able still find it in some stores. I didn’t see it online, but it’s so fun! And if you are collecting their shadows, grab a palette box. So much easier to keep them in order this way. Especially when you lack space in your 650sq ft apartment.
One day I shall have that larger vanity for my makeup and skincare products, one day.
Anyone else use their products? Tips and/or what are your favourites from Urban Decay?
