It’s the first-holiday gift guide of 2021!! I am trying to do these quickly since everyone keeps saying the supply issues will be an issue, so order away if you like things! Up first is the babies in your life — my favorite thing to shop for. I’ve included most things we purchased and Rowan liked last year! We own and have used everything on this list, so I can 100% say how much we love them.
But the truth is that gifts for babies are really gifts for mommy and daddy, the wants and needs for their growing bundle of joy and memorable keepsakes. Some of these are classics – Sophie will always welcome, and books are basically the gift that keeps giving, but when you look back on some memories when baby is older, these are the things that are part of making an already extraordinary experience even more phenomenal.
You can see my gift guide from last year here and my 0-3 month essentials here. Hope this helps!
I didn’t understand the hype around Sophie the Giraffe until I had Rowan and she absolutely loved it. Now it’s more than just the teether, books, toys, and more!
This is a great gift for new parents or for your baby and even toddlers! They have play kits from ages 0 to 3, the play gym, crib sheets, a tunnel, artwork, and even this amazing Montessori shelf I have my eye on.
A toy and a teether, this is a great baby item to have on hand. Rowan still uses it, she flings it around so it’s perfect for a newborn to a one-year-old.
These shakers I like to call them are a gift I’d give any friend having a baby! They are a perfect introduction to the sensory world of early year’s music-making. Great to have and use while listening to music and I used to keep on in the diaper bag for entertaining while out.
Such a great gift! This basket is still a hot commodity in our home, there are 15 brightly colored play pieces including plates, forks, cups, food, and a tablecloth, perfect for a pretend picnic for two! It’s not just a toy that they grow old of fast but will be used for a long time. We pretend to picnic in our living room, she stores fake food from her kitchenette in it, so it’s a great toy to have.
You can’t go wrong with any JellyCat doll, they have sushi to ravioli, but this bashful bunny is sweet and classic. Did I mention they are all unbelievably soft?
There are so many walkers out there, I picked this one out, it’s wooden, affordable, and looks cute! Plus all the activity features on the front are a great bonus.
How adorable is this set? It’s gender-neutral, cozy, soft, and is a beautiful gift for any new parent! Plus it comes with a little bear doll, it’s perfect.
How fun does this book look? Bright, different uniquely shaped pages, and almost toylike. It’s a great addition to any child’s library. Check out my diverse book post, we’ve since added to it, but it’s a good start!
This was a lifesaver! I was able to move it around our apartment, have her play in it while I quickly showered or cooked a meal, and she had a blast! Want to hear more about why this activity centre is a great gift? It converts into a table they can use when they are toddlers!
I bought the two chairs that go with it and we now use it to colour at, read, pretend play with her dolls, it’s definitely one big gift to consider.
This phone has a touch screen with 12 light-up, pretend apps, and your baby or toddler can pretend call their friends or family! It’s also a great size that it can fit in a diaper bag or purse to bring along to lunch dates.
