Friends, I have been SOOOOOO excited to share this room with you! The nursery takes half the space of the 2nd bedroom, it shares it with my office. We were so lucky to find a spacious two-bedroom apartment for our growing family!
Since we don’t know the gender, keeping it a surprise, we went with a gender-neutral nursery. Which I found wasn’t so difficult, there are so many options now out there! I went with rainbows and celestial pieces for overall decor. I wanted it to flow nicely with the overall aesthetic of our home. Neither one of us are a fan of crazy colours or patterns, so we decided to keep it light, simple, and clean. I truly had so much fun putting together this space.
Let’s get into the details! And start off with the rug. I wanted a neutral rug and found this great one on Pottery Barn Kids during Black Friday. It’s soft on the feet and the perfect size!
There are so many options for cribs out there and Curtis and I didn’t want to spend too much money since we just moved and also had a few other bits to purchase for the apartment. So we went to West Coast Kids here in Vancouver and grabbed the Paxx Crib. It was in our budget, minimalist and looks great in the space! I also picked up a great bamboo crib mattress.
I added some pillows from H&M, sheets from LouLou Lollipop, soft blanket from Maison Simmons and I grabbed the mobile from Etsy. We plan on hanging the mobile from the ceiling since the arm is too short I find but will leave it for now.
The woven rainbow above the crib is from a local craft market Curtis stumbled on in December and picked up. The sunburst mirror is from Urban Outfitters and so are the celestial hooks. The owl with the soothing music is from a local brand Min & Moo and the playmat is 3 Sprouts.
The dresser is from HomeSense, we had it in our old bedroom and put it in the nursery and it works so well with all the drawers. I grabbed the felt board from HomeSense as well along with the dinosaur lamp.
The bookshelves are from Amazon, similar to the IKEA ones that everyone has but I couldn’t be bothered to make a trip there.
And the floor baskets are from Amazon and also Pehr. The bassinet is the one that accompanies the UppaBaby Vista stroller, we grabbed the stand and plan on putting it into our bedroom once the baby arrives.
Well, that’s it! The other half of the room is my office, so we do have space for a chair, but we’ll play it by ear and see if we need one after the baby arrives.
This room is the most special in our house and I’m so pleased with how it all came together. The colours we choose for this room are very calming.
Thank you so much for stopping by and checking out this gender-neutral nursery reveal!
Looks so good!
