Hi everyone,
This week started out on a sad, heartbreaking note, we had to let Rudy pass away with dignity on Monday.
He was a great dog, I would say he was more than a dog; it was if he was a human in a dog’s body. Rudy was a faithful companion to us all for 15 years; he had a large and unique personality and had tons of love to give. Everyone who has ever met him fell in love instantly with him and he was popular amongst the neighbourhood.
Rudy had many occupations throughout the years, he was a goalie, food taster, lifeguard, bed warmer, watch dog, best friend, therapist, babysitter, escape artist, chew toy strength tester and was a high jumper in his day.
He’d never let you eat alone, was always there to listen and give a hug and took his life guarding duties very seriously, volunteering at the neighbours pools when they had guests over. He was an absolute joy to be around and I think he knew he scored big time when we took him home from the pound that night. I also thought we scored pretty well too…
Again I want to reiterate how great it is to adopt or rescue an animal. Rudy was adopted by us and I can speak for my family by saying it was one of the best decisions we had made in life. He will be greatly missed by all.
Rest in Peace Rudy
