Happy Friday! It’s a long weekend for us Canadians and our neighbours to the South. We are both celebrating our nation’s birthday. Canada is turning 150 this year, which compared to many other nations, is a small number. But we are proud and celebrating it to the fullest this year.
Curtis and I will be having a low-key weekend, hopefully spending most of it outdoors and with family and friends. On Monday, we take off to Osoyoos for a few days. It’s the desert of BC, with wineries and a large lake. I’ll be touring around the area and sharing a guide shortly after we return. So stay tuned for that! It’s such a short and scenic drive too, 4 hours through the mountains and passing through little towns along the way.
This week was a busy one! Last weekend I spent the day with one of my besties and we shopped and then purged my closet. It was lonnnnng overdue and I have 5 huge garbage bags of clothing and accessories for consignment! Then Sunday was a family picnic downtown in the sun.
Monday night we were invited to a cocktail competition at La Mezcaleria who partnered with Viejo Indecente Mezcal. 13 bartenders from the city were to create a cocktail using a Mezcal and the winner won a trip to Oaxaca!
I also went to a fitness event on Wednesday. It was sponsored by Whistle App and Genuine Health at Studio 55 downtown. We learned about both brands and then had a very intense sweat session. It was a circuit and I felt like I was going to die afterwards haha. But by friend Mich was there, so it made it all better!
