Hey folks, can you believe we are already in mid-June?!? Geez, as I’m typing today’s Friday Roundup, I’m coming down with anxiety on how fast summer might be! In Vancouver it’s felt a little like January here with rain and wind and just misery haha. I cannot wait for our trip in two weeks! More on that later, but let’s say it’s by a body of water in a desert….
This week was a good week. I attended a couple of events, attempted shibori and had a good weekend. Last weekend was busy, I had a few appointments, ran errands and got my hair done. Saturday night, we hopped in a Car2Go and drove to Steveston, a historical fishing village. Caught the sunset and walked the boardwalk.
We also went to Italian Day on Commercial Drive in Vancouver and I partnered up with Car2Go. It was a fun day! We took Piper and walked The Drive, ate pasta and gelato and had a Sunday Funday. Then we stopped at my parents and ate pizza we made on the BBQ.
Monday I went to celebrate Bauhaus Restaurant 2 year anniversary. Ate a few nibbles of food, drank some wine and hung out with some great bloggers. We went across the street for pizza after at Joe’s and it ended up being an unofficial after party of bloggers!
Thursday night I made shibori with at Tiny Finery with the ladies of Klorane Canada. What a fun event! Great small group of bloggers, fun craft, nibbles and hair tutorials. I was lucky enough to go home with a ton of product that I’m excited to try out!
So this weekend is low-key. We have no plans! It’s Father’s Day on Sunday and if the weather permits, we will do our traditional picnic with my family. Fingers crossed! Other than that, it’s to pick up mail at some FedEx depot in Richmond, watch a movie, purge my closet and hopefully hit up a happy hour.
