Friday Roundup: June 1
Happy June 1 everyone! Typing this week’s Friday Roundup, I couldn’t believe May is over. It’s been a busy couple of weeks, lots of events, work and time spent with family and friends.
Last week we had a long weekend, spent the day at the beach and played badminton, ate tons of food and layed in the sun. Was a great way to kick off the week. Curtis also bought a truck (!!) and we took it for a drive to the valley and visited my brother-in-law.
I then took part of a Science World Field Trip event. We had behind the scenes tours of the Omnimax theatre, walked the catwalk at the top of the dome (I was shaking inside being up that high), had a Pixar story director give us behind the scenes of the Incredibles 2, and previewed the new Pixar exhibit. Such a fun day!
Last weekend, we met up with friends, danced our butts off all night and then deep cleaned our home. Again, another great weekend!
This past Wednesday, I chopped my hair off!! Feels fantastic! I love my new short hair, it’s easy to style and just feels so healthy and bouncy. I’m like a Herbal Essence’s commercial haha.
Thursday, I had a breakfast event with New Hampshire Tourism. Learned a bunch about the state on the East Coast between Vermont and Massachusetts. There’s a new direct flight from Vancouver to Boston and then it’s a short drive over the border. I so now want to go visit! Looks like a great fall or summer trip, with so many outdoor adventures, good eats, historic small towns and tax free shopping!
I then popped over to a lunch event with Thursday Plantation, the original tea tree oil. I learnt about their face line, other essential oils and we made our own DIY bug spray and citronella candle. Really enjoyed that afternoon with the Award Winning Interior Decorator and DIY expert, Karla Dreyer.

And last night, I was a featured influencer host for a local Shoppers Drug Mart (Kensington Square) and their Dior beauty event! I received a quick facial and makeover from Dior ambassadors. My skin felt amazing and looked amazing after they were done. Went home with a few Dior goodies so stay tuned for more on that.
Our plans this weekend are celebrating a friend’s birthday, Curtis is working and catching up with a friend tonight while seeing an art show.
