Another Friday is here! That means another Friday Roundup! We are half way through July (crazy!!) and I’m enjoying the summer weather.

We’ve been going to the pool (staying cool in the heat wave), attending summer events, eating so much watermelon and BBQing at home. I honestly wish I lived in a city like LA where I could do this all year round. I’m meant to live somewhere sunny all year, I believe that deep down in my soul haha.

On the weekend we checked on my sister’s cat, swam in her pool, explored parts of the city, went for happy hour and celebrated my sister’s 30th.
Friday Roundup July 20 During the week besides the usual working at home, I also attended a couple of events. But do check out my YouTube channel, because I’ve been uploading so many videos lately! Catching up with my vlogs! And next week our trip to Kelowna will be up and a couple of beauty videos (sheet masks!)

First one was up to Whistler for a day, checking out the new Vallea Lumina. Ate an amazing BBQ meal at Portobello at the Fairmont Chateau Whistler.

Vallea Lumina is on till mid-October and I highly recommend going. It’s a 1.5 km hike through Cougar Mountain, (along trails) where you are involved in an interactive light art installation. My photos don’t do it justice, just a fun way to spend an evening up there.

I also went to Abbotsford last night for the Jam in Jubilee that occurs all Summer. We had a longtable picnic (beautiful set-up) and ate food prepared by Chef Trevor Bird. I left quite happy! Also finallllly met Connie, an Instagram friend of three years! And she’s just as nice and wonderful in person 🙂

And Monday, I attended the 41st Greasy Spoon Diner for A Better Life Vancouver. So far they have served up 2 million meals to those in need and found out $100 provides 28.5 meals! The meal was delicious, stuffed squash blossoms (my fav), BBQ ribs, cherry salad, so many cocktails that paired with each course and good company! Check them out and see what they do for the community.

This weekend we celebrate my mom’s birthday! It’s a Mexican themed dinner 🙂

I’m hanging with Vicki tomorrow for lunch and window shopping and that is my only plan. Curtis and I will probably just play it by ear the rest of the weekend. Next week we go down to Olympia, WA for a couple of days to attend an event and check out the city. I’m pretty excited!
