Friday Roundup: December 6

It has been a hectic two weeks! I didn’t have a chance to write up a Friday Roundup last week because we were trying to sort all out stuff out to move last weekend and other work projects to finish. That week got away from me!

We moved into our new place this past weekend and have spent every day since unpacking, purging, picking up new bits of furniture and trying to catch up with work.

I did get out of the house to celebrate my nana’s birthday and to also see Burt’s Bee’s latest makeup launches for January 2020. We had lunch at Farmer’s Apprentice in Vancouver and played with makeup for a couple of hours. How fun! I also learned a few fun facts about the brand I wasn’t aware of until now.

That they purchase watershed project funds to offset their water usage making their products and packaging. And since honeybees are where it all started for them as a brand, they have donated $3.5 million dollars to honeybee health and have also distributed 15 billion wildflower seeds! Also, all their products are around 99.7% natural origin and their packaging is around 85% PCR. I’m very excited to play around with their new mascaras and lip products.

I did a little bit of home shopping too, pretty much picking up essentials after you move such as storage bins and hangers haha. Had to be done!

This weekend is catching up with blog posts, seeing friends, getting a much-needed manicure and also checking out my brother’s photography collective at Lululemon Labs in town.
