Here we are, the last Friday Roundup of 2020! What a year, I’m pretty sure I wrote somewhere early 2020 that this year was going to be great (it was, we had Rowan!), but I think in terms of traveling, socializing in the summer, all the funs things that didn’t happen haha.
Since I last wrote a Friday Roundup (this month went by in a blur!), we have gone Christmas shopping, set up Christmas decor at home (you can see it in my latest vlog here), took advantage of nice weather, and went for walks at the beach and well just lived life at home. We are in a sort of lockdown, we can go out to shop, eat, walk, etc, but not have anyone over (grandparents who babysit are exceptions, same with 1-2 friends if you are living alone). It’s been a weird December thus far, but to be honest, it just has gone by so quickly!
I plan on baking holiday cookies this weekend, we are done Christmas shopping and the gifts are all wrapped under the tree, watch holiday movies, drink all the hot cocoa, and lounge in my holiday pajamas!
What are your holiday plans? Since grandparents who babysit are exceptions to the no visitors rule, my parents are coming over Christmas morning to open gifts and brunch then we are going to my mom’s for dinner. That’s the perfect Christmas in my opinion, low-key, lots of good food and it’s all about Rowan this year anyway. My brother and wife live in NYC now, and my sister and boyfriend are going to exchange gifts curbside instead. We will be dropping off gifts to friends and my nieces in the next week and for Curtis’s birthday (that falls two days after Christmas Day), I think we will order something special from one of our favourite restaurants.
Happy holidays! I will see you here in 2021!
