Well I’m catching up from last week’s Friday Roundup and a holiday. We have been in Palm Springs, CA for a week, exploring the desert, relaxing in the sun, taking a quick trip to San Diego and enjoying pool side drinks.
I’m going to have a recap next week of our holiday and update my Palm Springs section on the blog. A San Diego guide is also going to appear soon! I’ve also happy to report seemed to tan this week. Probably because it’s been 122 degrees some days here and cools down to a 100 at night! For us Canadians, that is around 50 degrees! Thankfully it’s a dry heat, otherwise I would die if it was humid.
I packed a jacket and a sweater, thought San Diego would be cooler, but nope not that cool at night. It ended up being refreshing and warm at night. I love that I don’t need a jacket or sweater for night like at home. And best of all, no bugs! No freakin mosquitoes that eat me alive like in Vancouver. For some reason, they love me, it could be 100 people in a crowd and they’ll find me. So I always enjoy coming down to the desert and not having to pack bug spray.
I have also for the most part took a break with the blog this week. Was too busy before I left to finish posts and schedule social media for when I’m away. But hey, that’s life right? I won’t lie, it has been nice taking a break from it all. Except Instagram! I can’t go on a break from that haha.
