Yay! It’s Friday and June is almost over. Seriously where did this month go? The weather here in Vancouver hasn’t been the greatest lately and I can’t wait for it to pick up again to shorts season. I’m looking forward to sleeping in, catching up with my emails and blogging tasks this weekend. I’m so behind on that! I have tons of comments to reply to, blog posts to write up, photo shoots to do and little things. Share your tips on keeping organized in the comments, I’d love to hear them! Also, I hope you enjoy this week’s Friday Roundup, I had to many links to share, but narrowed it down to these gems.
This week I attended the media event for Fanny Bay Oysters. It’s located in Stadium District and is a market and bar. They have delicious food and drinks, just in a quiet location.
Curtis and I have a few projects going on too. He has plans to make a patio bench for us and replant our succulents. I want to purge some clothes, paint our walls white to freshen up our living space and frame some prints. Most likely won’t all happen this weekend, but I hope to finish by mid-July.
Today is a short work day for me, we have a staff event where we are going to a Vancouver Canadians nooner game. This will be fun I think and a great way to meet other people in our large office. I also want to walk around downtown tonight if it’s dry out and grab a coffee.
I am itching for a getaway somewhere, whether it’s a roadtrip, quick jot up to the Okanagan, getting one of those insane seat sales to Bali or something. I don’t care, I just want to get a break! We are planning on going to Bowen Island this weekend with friends. Don’t forget to follow me on Snapchat (alifewellconsum) and Instagram to see that mini-adventure!
Anyone watching the new season of Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee or OITNB? Curtis and I caught those this week, I love CCGC because it’s a new guest each week and the amazing cars he brings! Jim Gaffigan was hilarious! OITNB is really dark this season and I love it! So many different issues being addressed, some are really sad, some are well interesting. Last season to me was a dud, so this one is already making up for it.
The news this week from the UK is interesting and I’m curious to see what the future will become. Anyone have thoughts on this? Any Brits reading my blog? I’m curious!
What are your plans this weekend? Anyone going away soon? I’ll be posting my Euro Travel Guides shortly! Really excited to finally share these and now have put myself into severe wanderlusting mode!
Share this Friday Roundup with your friends, it might be the most light hearted post in their newsfeeds considering the Brexit news. Geez what will the world be like in a few years? Because of that our Canadian dollar fell a bit today. I cannot wait for John Oliver’s recap of this news on this show this Sunday!

I’m with you! Where did June go? We started the process of getting a mortgage, set to close June 30th, and I thought that was forever away. And now it’s like 4 days from now. WHAT!
Great roundup of links. Off to do a little reading.
This was a wonderful post! Loved reading it 🙂
My way to keep organized (as a daily blogger, there’s a must to be organized) I have excel. It’s super useful.
I make a checklist where I’m checking things I’ve done, like when I write a post, take pictures, edit those pictures and when I’ve piblished a post.
I can’t really explain it but I hope you got the idea.
I haven’t been following this Brexit thing, but what I’ve heard from it I don’t think its good. Or who knows? We’ll see it someday. It doesn’t affect me emotionally because I’m from Finland but I have this feeling that this is going to affect all countries in EU and maybe even other countries in Europe. So we’ll see what future brings to our way!
