Well another day, another dollar, another Friday Roundup is here! I have no idea if that makes sense, but at this moment it does to me. I was so exhausted this week, I wanted to go to bed at 8pm every night, but I felt guilty since I have so much work to do. I’m blaming it on the weather, it’s not exactly the best this week in Vancouver, blue skies to rain to snow all in one day! Sleeping in this weekend is something I’m looking forward to very much.
I did receive a pair of awesome leatherΒ sandals from Teva this week, a big box of the lastest Kettles Brand chips and new opportunities for the blog in my inbox. So overall that was a successful week! I’m feeling spoilt and ever so thankful for it all. Lately, I’m feeling pretty motivated and excited on where I can take A Life Well Consumed. I love meeting new people, fellow bloggers and connecting with brands. I had no idea before starting to blog the amazing blogging community there is! I’ll be doing a post soon on how to start a blog, information I wish I knew before I did!, and insight on some of my favourite Facebook blogging groups. So stay tuned for that!
There will also be tons of fun posts this summer! I have a few DIY ones coming, fashion, my favourite beauty products and more My Beauty series! I’m also finally going to finish my travel guides to Lisbon, Copenhagen, Berlin and Amsterdam soon! A year or two behind, but better late than never right? Lisbon and Copenhagen are filling up my Instagram feed lately, everyone is going. So I want to share my favourites on our trips there.
This weekend, I plan on sleeping in, taking Piper to the beach, game night at my sisters, Father’s Day brunch and cleaning house. I really need to purge my closet and my food props. Last weekend we hit up the local farmer’s market and scored some great goodies. Fresh ginger beer, in season produce, bread, dessert, loads of berries and more! We may pop up there again this Sunday.
Last weekend was super busy for me, I went to two events on Saturday, one was a blogging workout meet-up by my friend Mich at Booty by Mich. It was a blast and was nice working out on Saturday morning. I felt really accomplished afterwards. Then I went to an event at Project Skin MD where Lainey Gossip was the host. We hung out with our new Italian friends (hi Sabrina!) and their cute dog Peter. Then on Sunday, Curtis and I went for tacos at La Taqueria and wandered Gastown afterwards.
Annnnd Orange is the New Black is back with a new season! We plan on catching a couple of those episodes but save the rest for another rainy day.
What are you guys doing this weekend? Anyone spoiling their dad or husbands for Father’s Day? Speaking of holidays, did you see that GIF of the Queen and Prince William? Hilarious!

**If you are in Vancouver, check out this new theatre experience Surreal Theatre! Surreal is an immersive, interactive theatre experience that takes place in the backstreets and alleys of Gastown. Audience members follow, and interact with, a story and characters wherever it takes them. At certain points the audience must engage directly with the characters to help progress the story. Unlike conventional stage theatre, Surreal brings the audience face-to-face with the story and characters, creating a wholly engaging experience. It runs from June 28 – September 30 on Tuesdays and Fridays at 8PM.

I’m on the midst of planning a local blogging event! I can’t wait to put some faces to blogs. Blogging has really surprised me too with all the potential. I’m beginning to realize I could really make some decent side income if it continues, which is a great bonus!
Love a good blogging event and they are my favorites too.

Dude I have already watched the first 6 episodes of Orange lol My weekend was fun and random but now I am at work, catching up on blog stuff and doing laundry. I went to a few wine vineyards yesterday which was fun.
Those cat pictures, lol!!! I’ve been feeling a big sluggish, too, but I think that’s because the heat index here is 110. Too hot to move!!!
Your picture of the alley with the potted plants was very pretty.
