I know it’s a holiday today, being the start of Easter weekend. We don’t celebrate Easter per say in my family, it’s more of an excuse to get together and eat a meal. We don’t go to church or do easter egg hunts outside. It’s time spent with each other and a long weekend. This weekend Curtis and I will also be staying downtown for a night. We had a free night from booking our Europe trip on Hotels.com last year and had to use it soon. So I said why not a staycation in our own city? Curtis thinks the highlight besides the pool is to watch TV in bed!?
In a couple of weeks we are going to Palm Springs to book our wedding venue (fingers crossed!) and get in some sunshine. I want to hire a bakery and florist too while down there and maybe even a photographer. Anyone else feel it took a while to feel like an engaged couple? It’s been months and I dunno, hasn’t felt like anything special yet. Maybe after we start planning this wedding? I hope so, otherwise I’m the worst bride-to-be. Or else it could be that it took him 8 years to ask! I guess too after living together for 5 years, we are practically married.
How is everyone spending their long weekend? Anyone jetting off to somewhere tropical? We are brunching with friends this afternoon at Tacofino. I plan on doing some recipes for the blog, I said that last weekend and all I did was make another cocktail. I sound like a drunk haha. But I wasn’t feeling the best and didn’t feel like doing that whole charade. So this weekend it is. Plus our staycation, easter dinner and then Curtis works Monday. I think with that day to myself I might run some errands, enjoy a pot of tea and read a book.

Yeah I don’t really celebrate Easter either. In fact I’m spending it catching up on TV and blog work. It seems like you are going to have a fun weekend. We didn’t get Friday or Monday, so no long weekend for me but since so many people took vaca I did get to leave an hour early. SO yay!
Gorgeous flowers. Have a great time in Palm
springs; it’s such a fun city!!
Not much going on for this Holiday weekend. We may be starting a new food tradition, which I hope it takes. It’ll be so much easier on everyone, instead of the same food year after year that only one person likes.
What are you making? My family usually has something different each holiday, my mom really likes to experiment in the kitchen thank goodness!
Great list! Thanks for sharing.
Coffee flour is the new thing has me having go check it out.
