Hi everyone,
This is the time of the year that everyone likes to start fresh. New clothes (thanks holiday sales!), make goals to lose weight and eat healthier to start. I like to do all, but I really enjoyΒ clearing out all the yummy crap inΒ our house and eating healthier than in December. Of course we ate really well and ate a variety of great foods, but after a bit my body craves salads, fruit, vegetables more than anything. I’m not going to lie, we still enjoy eating out, if you follow me on my social media accounts you would see that this previous weekend we ate out quite a bit. This was due to not feeling like going to the grocery store and being lazy after binge watching The Wire (can you blame me, it’s hard to stop watching it). I strongly feel life is also too short to not indulge every now and then.
To help start you out, I’ve listed a few recipes that are healthy,Β detoxifying and also delicious!
1. Minted feta grape cucumber quinoa salad (Fraiche Nutrition)
2. Roasted salmon with apple fennel salad over garlicky kale (Lexi’s Clean Kitchen)
3. Veggie and brown rice noodle bowl with teriyaki sauce (Oh She Glows)
4. Sweet potatoes with chickpea tomato sauce (The Kitchn)
I love this one because it’s so versatile with the fillings, I’m imagining kale
