Dessert Spots

Hi everyone,

Like most people, I love to finish a meal with a sweet treat. Whether it’s a cake, pastry, ice cream or doughnuts. In Vancouver, we have quite the selection to choose from and that’s really dangerous for my waistline. But hey life is short and really lonely without dessert. I want to share my favourite spots in the city to satisfy your sweet tooth after a meal.

1. Soft Peaks
Their ice cream is made with Avalon organic milk, it’s not sweet and real creamy. Every cup comes with crunchy cereal on the bottom. This combination of soft and creamy with a crunch is a nice match. They have a variety of toppings which are all local. From fresh honeycomb to match powder there is something for every taste.

2. Nero Belgian Waffle Bar
Authentic belgian style waffles with a vast array of toppings to choose from.

3. Aphrodite’s Pie Shop
Delicious organic pies from apple to peach. They also offer gluten-free options as well. I always go for a pie and chai.

4. Lucky’s Doughnuts
Tasty hand-made doughnuts that are made fresh daily. They are also connected to 49th parallel coffee roasters that offer coffee and tea. If there is a coconut bismarck flavour available that day, get it! I think i inhaled it in 30 seconds and it was the best 30 seconds haha.

5. Crackle Crème
Serving up crème brûlée and belgian waffles, this small cafe is a must visit.

6. Earnest Ice Cream
Popular it has just opened a second location on Quebec St. They offer seasonal flavours along with the classics.

7. Rain or Shine Homemade Ice Cream
Ice cream shop that offers many flavours from seasonal to the favourites. The sundaes are a favourite along with my favourite flavour of London Fog.

8. Sweet Obsession Cakes & Pastries
A bakery and cafe combined, you are able to take delicious cakes and pastries home to enjoy or stay in. I love indulging in their sticky toffee pudding with ice cream.
