Hi everyone,
I’m a cookbook hoarder and have built up quite the collection over the years much to Curtis’s dismay. One of my New Year’s resolutions was toΒ cook a couple of recipes from theseΒ cookbooks weekly. Before I would take them home, ogle over the lovely pictures and recipes and then put them on the shelf only to use for special occasions. Now I make an effort to use a couple a week and it’s quite fun! I really should post more of the recipes we’ve enjoyed from these books.
Here are my current favourites:
1. Ina Garten’s Make It Ahead
Love to be able to make something the night before
2. Donna Hay’s The New Classics
If you love all of her previous books or magazines, this will not disappoint!
3. A Year of Pies
This is from sweet to savoury
4. Jamie Oliver’s Comfort Food
The Hummingbird Cake is to die for!
5. Joy the Baker’s Homemade Decadence
You seriously cannot go wrong with any recipe!
Do you have any cookbooks you use over and over? Any that were a letdown?
I haven’t seen the Pie book…I love Ashley English. I have her Raising Chickens and Canning books. Have you made Joy’s cookie dough ice cream?! HEAVEN!!!
no I have not! probably will whip out the ice cream maker in a month when it’s warmer here! anything with cookie dough in the name I’m hooked π
