I love nothing better than a classic champagne cocktail. It’s just such a simple, classy drink you can have on any occasion. It’s festive, it’s a way to kick off a weekend, accompany a yummy brunch or toast a celebration! You can see all my cocktail recipes here, for all seasons and occasions.
You of course don’t have to use champagne in a champagne cocktail. To make it a more affordable option, use prosecco, affordable champagne, cava or any other dry sparkler. I for one, do not have a vintage champagne just lying around my home. Prosecco or cava is generally my go to in the sparkling beverage aisle.
You literally just need champagne (or other sparkly choice), a sugar cube and bitters. That’s it! 3 ingredients plus lemon peel for garnish. I wasn’t lying when I said a simple drink to make.

I don’t drink so I can’t really comment on how it would taste but it looks lovely, girl. Loving the spiral of lemon peel <3

I love champagne and I really love when it’s used in cocktails, they just feel more sophisticated to me. I think I actually have all these ingredients so I might have to celebrate the fact that it’s Sunday with a great cocktail!
I seldom drink, but I’ll have to keep this cocktail recipe in mind for future special occasions. Thank you for sharing!
This sounds delicious! I personally would never use real Champagne for a cocktail because I could never bring myself to change its taste, I drink it as is, BUT I’ll chuck anything in to cava or prosecco to make a tasty cocktail. Great post!

You had me at champagne…and again at cocktail! I can’t wait to try this out at Easter brunch!
I really like champagne.
You’re right – this drink certainly looks easy to prepare.
Yet I am very curious how it tastes – looks like I will be giving this one a try.
Can’t have it today as it’s national beer day, but putting this in the “party ideas” folders for the summer! Sounds so good!
This sounds and looks delicious. I’m pregnant right now so I can’t try it but I wish I could. I’ll definitely save this for later though.
Oooh looks like a great mix together. I actually love the taste of inexpensive champagne, so I’m golden with this mix! Hee hee.
It’s not at all difficult to do. I love that it’s refreshing and perfect for the Spring weather. I’m sure this is going to be a hit if you’re ever hosting a party.
I love ordering craft or customized cocktails at restaurants, but rarely make them at home. Lately, though I’ve been trying to come up with my own concoctions at home and this recipes sounds like a fun one to try.
I might have to make some of these for my friends next time we get together! There’s always a good time to have some champagne!
What a sophisticated cocktail. This look a really nice drink. xx
This loos so NICE and FANCY! Totally bookmarking this for our anniversary – surely I’ll get some extra points for that from the boyfriend right haha x
I absolutely love your photos– so nice! And I think my hubby would love this!
This is such a lovely looking drink! And it looks so easy to make. I will have to serve this to guests soon.
My husband and I love champagne, but we haven’t found a good mixing recipe to try with it. This might be the winner that we are looking for.
This looks so good! Champagne is my very favorite – I pinned this for later! Thanks for the inspo!!
Sometimes the garnish makes the cocktail and in this case that long lemon peel really does it for me!
I can imagine this is a fun beverage to have at a party. I love how the lemon peel looks in the glass.
That sounds really good! I think my husband would really like this, too. I’m going to have to make us some.
