We took Rowan to her first pumpkin patch this year! I chose to visit Richmond Country Farms, they had an online booking system, dedicated time-slots, and was close to Vancouver. I cannot say enough good things about them! We also lucked out and the dahlia fields were in full bloom, just acres of dahlias of all sorts. It was such an amazing morning! Plus seeing it all through Rowan’s eyes was a treat, I think the holiday season will be so different this year, yet memorable with her around.
We didn’t make it out to Taves Farms this season, we did drive out one day and it poured sideways rain right when we pulled up (just our luck), so instead went to Fort Langley while she napped. Next year! That one is also supposed to be really great for kids and has a cidery on the property for adults. Very smart of them.
Ok, back to the pumpkin patch, there are fields where you can pick your own pumpkin, and then this other area where you can take photos right next to the dahlia fields. And the general store outside of the pumpkin patch area has a cute indoor area to pick pumpkins plus take photos that most people were doing while shopping for other farm produce. Well worth the drive out, and I would plan to go beginning of October so you can see the dahlias in full bloom before the rain comes.
Hope you enjoyed a little recap in photos! I wanted to share because I had so many but also didn’t want to just have a pumpkin patch themed Instagram haha.
