It’s time to store our big winter coats and turn our attention to an undisputed classic for spring. The must-have classic trench coat comes in long to military-style to light pastels. This classic can never become boring with all the trends out there. There are countless options for this season. You just have to know how to pick the right ones. My list of 8 spring trenches will help guide you to adding this coat to your spring essentials.
A good trench coat will be versatile and will be able to elevate your outfit. It can be styled down for casual day outfits, as well as up for fancy evening wear. I love the look of a trench with denim shorts and t-shirts or paired with a floral dress and heels. Or pair a black trench with boyfriend jeans and white sneakers. The list can go on with all the versatile ways to wear this piece in your closet. There are even the sleeveless versions to wear to the office or for a more casual brunch look.
Trenches can come in suede, leather, cotton, linen, denim, water resistant materials or even the puffy look. I have about three different options in my closet, the classic, a black lightweight and a red one. I can easily rotate all three throughout the spring and fall seasons.
