Are you the kind of person who enjoys spending a peaceful Sunday at home? You’re not alone, because I also love to do the same! Sleeping in, enjoying a few cups of tea before noon hits, cuddling with the dog and not showering until I have to. That’s a perfect, lazy Sunday to me.
But there is more to it than that! Here are 7 things to do to make the most of your lazy Sunday, and to finish off the weekend relaxed and ready to conquer the week. And nothing involves Netflix binge watching!
Stop procrastinating! It’s time to tackle that closet clean out that’s been on your list for months. Dive into your closet and simplify it. Get rid of the items you don’t wear anymore and organize the ones you have left.
Invite your friend over to help. A second opinion on those jeans from 5 seasons ago won’t hurt, might even help you put them in the goodwill pile. Here’s a tip: Make three piles: Consignment, Goodwill and Trash and stick to it.
After cleaning out your closet, you might need to fill it with a few new outfits. Sundays can be the best day to online shop from the comfort of your own home. Just don’t go overboard, think quality pieces to tie together outfits or replace a shirt that became raggedy or stained.
Check out all the blogs you didn’t have time to during the week. You might even get an extra dose of inspiration for the new week ahead.
I love my Sunday night ritual, it relaxes me before bed and it’s something I look forward to. Take a long bath, paint your nails or apply a face mask. Just take some time for yourself and relax.
I like to have a long bath and read a few chapters from my book, apply a sheet mask and go into my Sunday night cleansing ritual. Serums, oils, acids and more!
Do you have a million recipes bookmarked? Or a cookbook collection hardly used? Why not spend the afternoon creating a new dish to savour at dinner. Better yet, invite some friends or family over to enjoy it!
Check one project off your list. Doesn’t have to be a big one, could be something as simple as hanging a picture or cleaning your oven. Sometimes it’s best to not overwhelm yourself and try to get them all done in a day. Pick one and do it. Trust me, you’ll love that feeling of crossing it off your to-do list.
Ok, bear with me, you’re probably thinking why do I need to leave my house? Well, you don’t have to get all dressed up. Throw on some sweats and head over to a new neighbourhood.
Walk around leisurely with a cup of coffee in your hand. You have no plans, just aim to enjoy your new surroundings and window shop, sit at a park, people watch or grab a long lunch.

Lazy Sundays are the best! This weekend I did #1, #4, and #6!
Love the list. I just did #1 yesterday (Sunday). Too funny!
ahhh with a toddler is never a lazy sunday…or anyday! If I have a day childfree I wouldnt atleast not clean my closet!ππ But perhaps read a good book that I can finish the same day while I eat a bags of chips and eat ice-cream directly out of the box. Ahh good old times!
This is a great list! I especially love the idea of grabbing a coffee and catching up on my favorite blogs. That and reading a good book, going for a walk in the sunshine and relaxing with the family.
My closet is in desperate need of being reorganized. I am not sure how it happened, but things always just ended up getting tossed in there and now it’s a complete mess.
