There are certain things that almost all of us have to get done, but we usually just end up procrastinating and leaving these important tasks in the back of our minds. Here’s a few of the most important things to have on your to-do list. A couple can be done every day like eating healthy and exercising, but save the others for your Sunday. Instead of lying in bed for too long, get up and check one of these tasks off your list. Remember its only a list of 5 tasks to get done today, not 15 or 30.
I like to pick a project each weekend to get done, and some become a daily routine. Like my cleaning up my email, exercise, eating healthy and making sure my closet is always tidy and clothes put away. These all can help with your mental health. The less stress we have in our lives, the healthier we become and ultimately the happier.
This includes deleting those old emails, cleaning up your phone and computer to free up data space, deleting all those photos and apps we no longer use and backing up all of your important documents. It sounds boring and tedious, but you’ll thank yourself if something were to happen to your devices. No one wants to see that white screen of death and realize you don’t have a backup.
Time to make overdue appointments with your doctor, dentist, optometrist; the list goes on and on. Nothing is more important than good health. Also start a healthy diet and get more sleep.
If you find your closet overflowing, it is high time to reorganize and throw out stuff you don’t wear or use anymore. This is an on-going task, you can revisit monthly and do a quick clean.
For many, this is already incorporated into daily life, but for some, finding motivation to start exercising can be hard. Try to start small and set achievable goals, and slowly build your momentum up from there. This is something I’m currently practicing and have set a schedule I’m trying to stick to weekly.
We so often get caught up with work or school that we neglect our family. Put your work tasks aside and spend an afternoon with your grandparents or take your kids to the beach.
I really need to backup my phone – I’m going to make sure to do that today. I desperately need to organize the files on both my desktop and laptop, but that’s going to be a days/weeks long project that I’ll need to tackle a little at a time.
All good things to do, although I doubt I’ll get beyond doing number 5 only.
Great list! I need to do all of these things!
My closet is pretty clear of extra, my phone is too, but oh my gosh, it would take me FOREVER to clean up my desktop. Photos, documents, and downloads are numerous and all over the place. I try to do small batches at a time but it’s a little overwhelming!
I desperately need to update my computer and clean it off and archive anything that I need/want to keep. Good reminder!
