There are certain things that almost all of us have to get done, but we usually just end up procrastinating and leaving these important tasks in the back of our minds. Here’s a few of the most important things to have on your to-do list. A couple can be done every day like eating healthy and exercising, but save the others for your Sunday. Instead of lying in bed for too long, get up and check one of these tasks off your list. Remember its only a list of 5 tasks to get done today, not 15 or 30.
I like to pick a project each weekend to get done, and some become a daily routine. Like my cleaning up my email, exercise, eating healthy and making sure my closet is always tidy and clothes put away. These all can help with your mental health. The less stress we have in our lives, the healthier we become and ultimately the happier.
This includes deleting those old emails, cleaning up your phone and computer to free up data space, deleting all those photos and apps we no longer use and backing up all of your important documents. It sounds boring and tedious, but you’ll thank yourself if something were to happen to your devices. No one wants to see that white screen of death and realize you don’t have a backup.
Time to make overdue appointments with your doctor, dentist, optometrist; the list goes on and on. Nothing is more important than good health. Also start a healthy diet and get more sleep.
If you find your closet overflowing, it is high time to reorganize and throw out stuff you don’t wear or use anymore. This is an on-going task, you can revisit monthly and do a quick clean.
For many, this is already incorporated into daily life, but for some, finding motivation to start exercising can be hard. Try to start small and set achievable goals, and slowly build your momentum up from there. This is something I’m currently practicing and have set a schedule I’m trying to stick to weekly.
We so often get caught up with work or school that we neglect our family. Put your work tasks aside and spend an afternoon with your grandparents or take your kids to the beach.
This is such amazing device…if we all did these things every day the would would be a better place. I think that cleaning up your computers is a big, often overlooked one, but its so satisfying to get rid of notifications, old email, etc., and it really helps me feel more organized. I also think that #5 is SOOOO important…and so easy to neglect!
Great post, Leslie!

Such good advice. I need to focus on some of these!
Not happening today. Maybe this weekend.
These are all so important and this blog post is a perfect reminder to me to prioritise them all. I get so caught up in trying to do ‘productive’ things every day that I forget to take care of the important things

Great tips for living a balanced life. I’d give anything to be able to just call my grandma and talk to her for a little bit again.
