Since we are now into December, I thought I’d share a handful of fun Christmas activities to do in Vancouver! You have to go to at LEAST one, get your holiday spirit flowing, have a few laughs and take those Instagram photos.
I love the holiday season, everyone is in a good mood, holiday parties, festive cocktails and food, and then all the fun Christmas events and activities that are around Vancouver. We even got a new one this year, which is below, but it’s a nice addition.
Curtis and I try to go to a handful each year, spread out of course over the month of course, we’re not crazy people. One a week I’d say, but you can easily do more, from these below to the craft fairs, ballet, plays, and more. But I’m only sharing on here, the five favourites of mine below.
November 23 to December 30, 2018
The newest Vancouver Christmas event in town. There’s a ferris wheel, tube sliding, an ice skating river, a magical light walk, food trucks, artisan stalls and a warm tent serving up hot cocoa to beer. It was fun! And Santa Claus makes an appearance too!
November 21 to December 24, 2018
In their 8th year, they are the only German Christmas market in Vancouver located at Jack Poole Plaza with over 80 vendors, a carousel, many more photo opportunities and tons of yummy food stalls! Oh, did I mention the mulled wine?
December 1, 2018 to January 6, 2019
A classic, we went last year on Christmas Eve with the whole family, they serve up hot drinks, the mini donut truck is there and it’s so pretty! We lucked out with a bit of snow too, which made it even more magical.
November 22, 2018 to January 27, 2019
Already a pictureque location, they bring it to another level with their annual Canyon Lights. The suspension bridge, Treetops Adventure, Cliffwalk, the rainforest and canyon are transformed into a world of festive lights and visual enchantment.
November 23, 2018 to January 6, 2019
This is a great family activity, they dress up the aquarium for the holidays, there are Scuba Claus dives daily (until Dec 24), a holiday tree powered by an Electric eel, the luminous jelly snow globe, and screenings of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer: A 4-D Experience®.
What events do you look forward to each year? Is there any I missed that you enjoy? Share below!
They all look like so much fun! ❤️
