We are nearing the end! There are just a couple of weeks left unless this baby comes. I also have a c-section scheduled for a backup just in case, because Rowan was a c-section baby. I’m hoping for a vaginal birth this time though, the recovery should be easier and less tolling on my body than a c-section.
Overall, I’m feeling ok, just tired and starting to the heaviness of the bump. Plus making a conscious reminder to try to relax and not take on too much. But enjoy this downtime before the new baby comes… as much as I can with a 4-year-old at home.
My cravings as of late are fresh fruit, chia seed puddings, bagels, and ice-cold drinks of any kind!
Work is slow, which is tough but I guess it’s a silver lining. I had a couple of projects to finish and drafting up client content for May. As I’m typing this up, I’m wrapping up taxes! I usually get it all done in February but I don’t know where the time went! And this year, it felt like a few brands and clients sent forms over later than usual.
I had my baby shower last weekend, you can see the quick recap here on the blog and my Instagram. It was nice to see my friends and family for the afternoon, it brings me joy when all my friends get along and meet up! Anyone else? It’s tough to cultivate friendships in your late 30s, and I feel like I have a great group now.
Of course, just like the prep of a booked vacation, I had to book myself in for appointments like my hair, a prenatal massage, and a manicure when I was feeling up to it and not too close to being in term for labour. From now on out, it’s just tidying up the house, spending time with Rowan, and propping my feet up watching TV or reading.
Maybe the next update will be of baby!
