The past 7 weeks have flown by! Next week is Christmas and then 2020 is upon us, and I’m in my 27th week of this pregnancy, in my 6th month!! NOT READY LOL
Let’s see where did we leave off? We went on our babymoon, will share a babymoon guide on this later in the week, but we ended up going to Palm Springs. A short 3-hour flight, affordable and we always relax down there. It was great, and I’m so glad we went before we moved.
And yes, we finally moved the beginning of December, that’s a whole other update, but it went smoothly and we are still unpacking but feeling great that we are in our own home ready to nest the shit out of it.
I just had my gestational diabetes test and passed! Longest 2 hours spent at Lifelabs, thankfully the nurses were really nice and I made an appointment ahead of time. But still, 2 hours spent there is WAY TOO LONG. I’m so happy to have passed and not worry about that now.
I’ve graduated into maternity jeans, leggings and maternity tights as my outfits of choice now. I can no longer fit into my jeans, so the leisure look is in full swing! Plus its winter here and the nights are chillier so I’m bundled up anyways. My bump is big enough that everyone notices it (and everyone is extra nice to me!) but itβs not so big that Iβm uncomfortable.
I get leg cramps every night and acid reflux allllllll day long. ALL day. Just kill me now. Also slowly losing my mind, I forget so much and like in a fog some days. Pregnancy brain is in full swing.
And no, I still don’t have any weird cravings, still citrus fruit and pasta haha. Not together though, I’m not a monster. I eat sweets but I don’t crave them, so I’m happy eating an apple for dessert, even though our home is filled with holiday chocolates etc., I’m not indulging every day.
Oh and Curtis has informed me I snore so badly that he considers sleeping on the couch to escape it. Haha. Probably why I wake up tired because apparently, I wake myself up from my snores. It’s that bad.
And we haven’t bought much yet for the baby, just a rug for the nursery, my only Black Friday purchase, and I also bought receiving blankets on sale. I just figure it’s Christmas and the sales in January are when we can go buy a crib and all the other bits.
Starting to feel anxiety a bit, like nervous excitement I guess? Just becoming more real as we get further along in the weeks. And it’s kicking a lot, feels like it’s swimming laps at times or dancing like Elaine in Seinfeld. Poor Curtis, there were so many times it would kick about and then when he went to feel, nothing. Finally was able to feel it the last week or so when it’s become an everyday occurrence.
This is so me though, I’ve already thought about what to cook ahead and freeze! Food is always on my mind, pregnancy and before. Plan on cooking pasta sauces, soups, and maybe a lasagna to put in the freezer. Just to have on hand and also what to stock up for the pantry. And I activated my Classpass since we moved and can’t wait to start yoga again! I walk every day and try to get my 8-10K steps a day, but I need that zen and stretching. Along with booking my prenatal massages! I have the stiffest hips (I sound like my 86 year old grandmother) but I dislocated my pelvis in a car accident years ago and still bothers me.
And thatβs it for my 27-week pregnancy update! If you guys are interested Iβll do another one in a few weeks. Itβs crazy to think Iβll probably only write 2-3 more pregnancy updates before the baby arrives! In case you missed my other update, here’s the 20 week one.
TUMS and Magnesium for the leg cramps! Oh man o got them SO bad and both of these helped immensely. Of course the tums also double to help with acid reflux so bonus!
oh thanks! I haven’t thought about tums for those!
